Expert Review & Verdict
Stream2Watch Sports Editorial Desk • Audited October 2026
The Verdict
Our Verdict: Iris TV functions as the flagship IPTV and hybrid video delivery platform of Telekom Srbija, commanding an uncontested regional sports monopoly through direct ownership and distribution of the Arena Sport network. Subscribers receive complete, live broadcast coverage of the Premier League, UEFA Champions League, Serie A, LaLiga, and NBA in uncompressed 1080p 50fps and dedicated 4K event feeds. However, the service requires binding 24-month fixed contracts on traditional IPTV lines, imposes mandatory hardware rental charges on set-top boxes, and completely locks out United Media networks including Sport Klub and N1.

In-Depth Platform Analysis & Coverage
Iris TV operates as Telekom Srbija's primary subscription television platform, delivering over 250 linear channels via managed IPTV multicast architecture over fiber and VDSL networks, complemented by OTT multiscreen app transmission through iris SMART and iris GO. The platform acts as the premier broadcast conduit for live sports in the Balkans, holding proprietary network carriage of Arena Sport 1 through Arena Sport 8, Arena Sport 1x2, and premium feeds Arena Sport 1 Premium, Arena Sport 2 Premium, and Arena Sport 3 Premium. Picture quality streams natively in 1080p at 50 frames per second across high-definition sports channels, with marquee UEFA Champions League finals and domestic derbies outputting in uncompressed 4K Ultra HD on the optical network via the dedicated Paket 4K add-on.
Hardware provision centers on 4K-capable Android TV hybrid set-top units alongside native smart TV application support for Samsung Tizen, LG webOS, and Google TV. Broadcast mechanics incorporate an automated 7-day backward electronic program guide catch-up replay buffer across all major linear channels, eliminating the necessity for local disk storage while facilitating live pausing and time-shifting. Concurrency allowances permit up to 3 simultaneous client app streams on iris GO alongside connected physical STB receivers within the household. Out-of-home app streaming is strictly geo-locked via IP address verification to the territory of the Republic of Serbia, requiring proprietary roaming authorizations when traveling abroad.
