Live DFB Pokal TV & Broadcast Schedule

DFB Pokal Overview & Format

The DFB Pokal is the premier national knockout football competition in Germany, organized by the German Football Association (DFB). The tournament features 64 teams, comprising all 36 clubs from the top two professional tiers (Bundesliga and 2. Bundesliga), the top four teams from the 3. Liga, and 24 amateur or semi-professional sides that qualified via regional association cups. Operating on a strict single-elimination format across six rounds, the competition is famous for its "giant-killing" potential, as lower-division teams are granted home-field advantage in the early stages. The campaign culminates in the prestigious DFB Pokal Final, traditionally held at the historic Olympiastadion in Berlin, with the champion securing a coveted berth in European club competitions.
