Expert Review & Verdict
Stream2Watch Sports Editorial Desk • Audited October 2026
The Verdict
Our Verdict: Cosmote TV remains Greece's dominant sports broadcasting network, delivering exclusive live broadcast feeds for the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, and the majority of Super League Greece home fixtures alongside NBA basketball. The historic carriage pact integrating the complete Novasports suite directly into Cosmote Sports packs for an extra €3 per month provides unprecedented value for Greek football followers, though standalone streaming subscribers face steep out-of-bundle costs and an enforced two-stream concurrency limit.

In-Depth Platform Analysis & Coverage
Cosmote TV functions as the flagship pay-TV and direct-to-consumer OTT streaming platform operated by the Hellenic Telecommunications Organization (OTE), a subsidiary of Deutsche Telekom. Available as a cloud-based streaming application across connected TVs, mobile devices, and proprietary 4K Android TV set-top boxes, the platform serves as Greece's premier athletic hub. Network carriage is anchored by the dedicated Cosmote Sport channel family (Cosmote Sport 1-9 and Cosmote Sport 4K), transmitting live digital telecasts of the UEFA club competitions, Super League Greece fixtures for marquee clubs like Panathinaikos, AEK Athens, and Olympiacos, the NBA, and ATP Masters 1000 tennis. Video playback streams in adaptive 1080p Full HD at 50fps, with select marquee European football showdowns delivered in uncompressed 4K Ultra HD.
From a technical perspective, the platform incorporates an advanced electronic program guide equipped with 7-day backward catch-up replay, live start-over functionality, and a network cloud DVR delivering up to 100 hours of recording capacity with a 30-day retention window. Account concurrency permits up to two simultaneous streams across five registered devices per authenticated subscriber account, with an optional extra-stream add-on for multi-screen households. Following the landmark wholesale reciprocity agreement between OTE and United Group, Cosmote TV subscribers can layer all Novasports linear channels directly into their subscription for €3.00/month, unlocking the English Premier League, Spanish La Liga, German Bundesliga, and EuroLeague basketball within a single interface. Territorial IP geo-blocking restricts stream authorization exclusively to Greece and temporary European Union roaming windows.
