Voyo (Slovakia) Review: Verdict, Cost & Sports Coverage
WhereSports Editorial Desk • Audited October 2026
The Verdict
Our Verdict: Voyo Slovakia is the undisputed home of domestic television in Slovakia, offering live Markíza channels, early-access reality shows, and local scripted dramas. For sports enthusiasts, the sports-oriented tiers make it an attractive utility, integrating live English Premier League football and WTA tennis via CANAL+ Sport. The platform functions smoothly, though older smart TV apps can feel sluggish and concurrent streaming is strictly capped at two devices.

In-Depth Platform Analysis & Coverage
Markíza Group (operating under PPF Group) developed Voyo into Slovakia's leading domestic subscription streaming platform by focusing squarely on hyper-local content and high-demand sports rights. Its cornerstone offering includes exclusive pre-broadcast episodes of popular Markíza serials, high-budget Voyo Originals, and reality formats like Love Island Česko & Slovensko and Farma.
The service is structured into distinct subscription tiers: Voyo Štandard covers general entertainment and live Markíza channels; Voyo Maximum expands access to premium live sports including the English Premier League, UEFA competitions, and WTA tennis; and Voyo Maximum s CANAL+ Sport provides complete dedicated linear sports access. Integrated 7-day catch-up television across Markíza linear networks allows subscribers to treat the service as a functional digital replacement for traditional cable.
However, the user experience presents minor friction points. Navigating large catalog archives and locating specific on-demand sports replays can feel cluttered, particularly on older smart TV platforms. Concurrency is limited to two simultaneous screens per household, and strict geo-fencing restricts stream access outside Slovakia, subject to EU digital content portability regulations for temporary travel within the EEA.
What We Like (Pros)

- Premier League and WTA tennis available without a full legacy pay-TV bundle
- 7-day catch-up feature enables seamless review of missed linear broadcasts
- 7-day free trial offered for new subscribers on the standard tier
- Monthly rolling plans with no long-term binding contracts
What to Consider (Cons)
- User interface on older smart TVs can feel slightly dated and sluggish
- Strict two-device simultaneous streaming limit frustrates multi-user households
