The Verdict
Our Verdict: StreamWay+ is a specialized sports OTT hub engineered by Italian broadcast production group NVP and HiWay Media, serving as the official direct-to-consumer home for Spain's top-tier Liga Plenitude ASOBAL handball following the closure of LaLiga+. The app transmission reliably delivers 1080p 50fps feeds alongside niche properties like Beach Soccer TV and Reggina Channel, though it operates strictly as a single-concurrency digital telecast portal without linear US cable carriage or multi-device cloud DVR recording.

In-Depth Platform Analysis & Coverage
StreamWay+ is a dedicated direct-to-consumer sports streaming network developed by broadcast production firm NVP S.p.A. through its HiWay Media software division. The platform functions as a targeted OTT distribution vehicle for sports federations, leagues, and clubs looking to monetize live action outside legacy television networks. Its marquee property is ASOBAL TV, carrying complete live broadcast feed coverage and on-demand replays of every match across the Liga Plenitude ASOBAL (Spanish Division de Honor de Balonmano) after securing long-term domestic digital carriage rights. In addition to Spanish top-flight handball, the ecosystem hosts Beach Soccer TV telecasts and dedicated Italian club properties such as Reggina Channel.
The app transmission infrastructure serves live digital telecasts in native 1080p resolution at 50fps motion frequency, with adaptive bitrate switching down to 720p for low-bandwidth mobile connections. Viewers receive basic 2.0 stereo audio encoding with instant pause, rewind, and on-demand match replay archiving directly following the final whistle. The service enforces a single simultaneous stream limit per active account and utilizes territorial IP restrictions to protect international syndication deals brokered with third-party agencies such as Sportradar, while adhering to European Union cross-border portability regulations for domestic Spanish and European subscribers.
