Expert Review & Verdict
Stream2Watch Sports Editorial Desk • Audited October 2026
The Verdict
Our Verdict: RIZIN.tv serves as the direct-to-consumer international digital transmission home for Japan's premier mixed martial arts and kickboxing promotion, delivering live tournament cards, Super RIZIN spectacles, and Landmark cage series in 1080p 60fps. The recurring Premium Pass ($16.99/mo or $179.99/yr) unbundles high-cost pay-per-views by packaging all live major events and English-commentary broadcasts into an all-inclusive subscription. However, client playback strictly enforces a ceiling of two simultaneous device streams, cloud DVR recording is completely absent in favor of on-demand replay uploads, and domestic IP addresses inside Japan are blacked out due to exclusive local carriage deals on U-NEXT and ABEMA.

In-Depth Platform Analysis & Coverage
RIZIN.tv operates as the centralized international streaming platform and digital pay-per-view portal managed by Dream Factory Worldwide Inc. for RIZIN Fighting Federation. Transmitting live event feeds and combat sports archives via adaptive bitrate HLS unicast pipelines across desktop web browsers, iOS, Android, Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, Android TV, Google TV, and Roku hardware, the service circumvents fragmented third-party international syndication. Its combat sports roster encompasses all flagship numbered stadium cards, the cage-based RIZIN Landmark series, Super RIZIN international cross-promotional supercards, and the annual New Year's Eve Saitama Super Arena event. Broadcasts feature dual-track audio options, pairing native ringside Japanese audio with dedicated English-language commentary panels alongside live corner audio feeds.
Video transmission outputs up to 1080p high definition operating at 60 frames per second with stereo 2.0 audio tracks, maintaining motion fidelity during high-velocity striking combinations and ground scrambles. Broadcast mechanics omit personal cloud DVR storage functionality; instead, the platform provides automated post-event video-on-demand replays, pre-fight press conferences, fighter weigh-ins, and the Confessions backstage documentary series, with full event replays ingested directly into the subscriber catalog within hours of live completion. Concurrency allowances permit up to two simultaneous active client display sessions per subscriber profile. App transmission is available internationally across North America, Europe, Latin America, and Oceania, though domestic connections within Japan are strictly IP-fenced to enforce domestic pay-per-view exclusivity held by Japanese carriers.
What We Like (Pros)
- • Premium Pass eliminates costly standalone PPV fees by bundling all major live fight cards into one monthly fee
- • Clean 1080p 60fps video delivery ensures sharp visual tracking during rapid kickboxing and MMA exchanges
- • Standalone single-event PPV option allows casual fans to buy individual marquee cards without ongoing subscriptions
- • Broad device support across connected television platforms, streaming sticks, mobile devices, and web
What to Consider (Cons)
- • Simultaneous app transmission strictly restricts playback to 2 active display screens per account
- • Lacks personal cloud DVR recording capabilities, relying entirely on post-event video-on-demand uploads
- • Blacked out for IP addresses in Japan, where domestic rights remain locked to U-NEXT and ABEMA
- • Combat sports roster is strictly dedicated to RIZIN, containing zero mainstream athletic leagues
